How we Teach

Group Classes

Group classes are a great stepping stone to social dancing, giving you the chance to rotate partners and build a network of familiar faces that make gracing the social floor much less intimidating.

If you are new to dancing, a group class can be an excellent introduction into the various styles of dance we offer and the music that goes along with them.  If you are worried about having “two left feet” a class setting can reassure you that you aren’t the only one.

For more experienced dancers, group classes can also serve as an intro to new dances that allow you to expand your repertoire.  Beyond that, they are also a great complement to private lessons.  Classes give you a chance to practice lead/follow skills with other amateur dancers under the guidance of a professional.  They may also provide you with extra focus on an aspect of your dancing that interests you or needs improvement.

Private Lessons

A private lesson is the quickest way to becoming comfortable on the dance floor.  Whether you are preparing for a special occasion, a competition, or just want to have the courage to step onto the social dance floor instead of watching from your seat, private lessons are for you.

Each individual student has their own strengths and weaknesses and private lessons allow for a program designed around your specific needs.  While group classes serve as a great reinforcement or an intro to new dance styles, it is private lessons, taught one-on-one with an instructor in a shared ballroom setting, that will give you the lead and follow abilities necessary to succeed in any dance situation.

Give us a call and we’ll set you up with the instructor best suited to help achieve your goals.

Practice Time

Practice is the most important part of the process no matter what level of dancer you are. It bridges the gap between the steps or concepts you learn in class and mastering the skills you need to perform on the social and competitive dance floor. The floor is always open for practice outside of pre-scheduled events. Click the link below to reserve your time on the floor.
